There are even better tools for this such as Visio, but if you want to create nice looking and uncomplicated timeline, it is sufficient to use just Word. Using the graphical tool Drawing canvas you place all the shapes nicely into the group, add text information, images and prepared timeline is done in a few minutes. Do not believe?
